Keith Harris

M. Keith Harris, 84, of River Heights, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 of natural causes. He was born July 10, 1927 in Hyde Park, Utah, to Alton K. Harris and Uarda Morse Harris.
He hung wallpaper and painted professionally for many years and was a very hard worker. Keith truly had a passion for gardening and loved to share the fruits of his labor. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends at his place in Bear Lake.
During WWII he served in the Marine Corp. as a private first class. He served his duty in San Diego, California.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He married Ansta Joy Fernilius on May 24, 1973. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Ansta; his son, Maury Harris; and step children, Bryce (Roberta) Child, Cathie (Rick) Olsen, and Mike (Cherie) Child. He is also survived by his sister, Colleen (Earl) Nelson, and brother Larry Dean Harris; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Mark Harris.
We loved him very much and he will truly be missed. “For this is a journey that we must all take, and each must go along.” It’s all part of the Master’s plan--a step on the way home.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Uintah City Cemetery in South Ogden. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, Oct. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center, Logan. Condolences may be extended to the family on line by visiting www.allenmortuaries.net .
