Hyde Park, UT: A. Ramon Purser, 87, was born on November 20, 1928, and passed away peacefully at the Logan Regional Hospital surrounded by his wife and family on Friday, December 11, 2015.
Ramon was the son of Christina Avon Woolf and William Villis Purser. He married Marguerite (Marge) Nielsen on June 23, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Ramon and Marge raised their five children in Hyde Park - Dennis of Logan, Utah; Janet (Ron) Jibson of North Salt Lake City, UT; Cathy (Brad) Hoggan of Fielding, UT; Cindy Garrett Tuthill (deceased), and Roger (Jeanne) of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He worked and retired after 35 years with the Sears Corporation and then went into the real estate and warehousing businesses. He was a member of the Logan Golf and Country Club and enjoyed many years of golfing with friends. He and mom enjoyed their large garden and decorating their home and yard for the holidays. His children have cherished memories of family vacations, together in Yellowstone, fishing in Montana, the Grand Canyon, just to name a few.
Ramon was an active member of the LDS Church and served in a variety of callings. He especially enjoyed being a home teacher.
Ramon is survived by his wife, Marge, and their four children, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, LaConna (Brent) Hoggan, and a sister-in-law, Lois (Gary) Purser.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hyde Park Stake Center, 535 East 200 South in Hyde Park, followed by the dedication of his grave at the Hyde Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
