Ada Jeanine Myers Holyoak, 80, of Sandy, UT passed away quietly in Logan, UT December 20, 2013.
She was born in Lewistown, MT on June 15, 1933 to Carle Dewey Myers and Ada Mae Swears Myers.
She met her husband, Alan Holyoak at BYU. They married on May 9, 1952 in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple. They raised six children and spent 54 years together. After her children were raised, she returned to college and received her Associate's from SLCC and Bachelor's from BYU. Jeanine was a member of The LDS Church and served in various callings, but for many years as organist. She loved genealogy, and temple and family history work. She and Alan served a mission as temple workers in the Los Angeles Temple from 1999-2003.
Jeanine was a talented pianist and organist, and had a beautiful soprano voice. She was a secretary at the Church Office Building, BYU Salt Lake Center, and the Valley Music Hall. She was outgoing and enjoyed making friends.
She is survived by her six children, Carla (Kay) Cook of Sandy, Mark (Jana) of Sandy, Scott (Tracie) of Tomball TX, Lisa (James) Wyciskalla of West Valley, Doug (Charisse) of Cedar Hills, Brad (Jean) of Providence, 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and her sister Jackie Waters of Provo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alan, both parents, brother Daniel Myers, sister Peggy Ockler, and grandson Jared Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday January 4, 2014 at the LDS Church at 1500 East (Altair Dr) 8600 South in Sandy UT. A viewing will be held at the same location Friday January 3, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
