Afton Marie Wade Quinlan, (73) of Mendon, Utah, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Beehive Assisted living Home in Perry, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She-was born October 12, 1939 in Malad, Idaho to Lawrence Bertrum Wade and Florence Pearl Bunderson Wade.
Afton married Edward Wade Quinlan on June 10, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple. Afton was Wade's beautiful bride of 56 years.
Afton and Wade are the proud parents of 9 children, 39 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Afton was a wonderful wife and mother, devoted to her family. She taught by example the values of hard work and Christ like love. She found beauty in everything she saw. Her talents as an artist, her gifts of music, her fun and witty sense of humor and her love for her husband are a treasured blessing for her
posterity.
Afton was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving faithfully in the Primary, Scouting, Relief Society and Young Women's organizations including 10 years of joyful service in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a loyal member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed the sweet associations of the Mendon Camp. Afton lived a life of selfless service to all she came in contact with. She leaves behind a legacy of living faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, charitable service to her fellowmen and enduring to the end.
She is survived by her husband and 7 children; Grant Wade (Julie), Tresa (Andrew) Hansen, Suzette (Don) Heater, Derick Dale (DyAnn), Troy Dennis (Rini), Jennilyn (Lane) McKinnon, Edward Van (Scott Baird), 1 brother, 3 sisters and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Afton will be forever remembered and eternally loved. She is preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 sister, 2 daughters; Sara Marie, Trudy (Aaron) Barrett, and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Mendon Stake Center. 460 S. 100 E. Mendon, Utah. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan Utah, and at 10:30 AM prior to services at the church.
