Agnes Cassidy Stewart Zollinger

November 29, 1917 — June 19, 2007

Born in Logan, Utah on November 29, 1917, Agnes Cassidy Stewart Zollinger died June 19,2007 at age 89. She was the youngest daughter of Dr. Isaac Perry Stewart Sr. and Rebecca Evans Stewart. May 20, 1954, she married Ezra Jacob Zollinger and together they raised seven children: Lela May Zollinger (deceased), Coral "Sue" (Charles) Turner, Tallahassee, Florida, Ivanell (Richard) Verselle, Rocklin, California, Alden Jacob (Christine) Zollinger, Murray, Utah, Rebecca (Robert) Craner, Soda Springs, Idaho, Mondell Zollinger, Logan, and Eden Stewart Zollinger (deceased). Mr. Zollinger passed away in 1996.
Mrs. Zollinger was a graduate of Logan High School and Kaiser Business College, Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Utah State and the University of Utah. A lady of many talents, she received her ballet training in Salt Lake City from Peter and Lew Christensen, founders of the San Francisco Ballet. An accomplished artist in many media, she excelled at sculpture under Dr. Avaard Fairbanks and is recognized for her ballet figures in bronze. With her husband, she was one of the charter members of the Logan Artist's Group. She was also an accomplished musician and published writer.
During World War II, she worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company in Los Angeles. For many years, she was the dental assistant for the Stewart dentists, her father and uncle.
She taught dance for the Katherine Hubbard School of Dance in Madison and had her own studio in Logan. In addition, she had been employed by the state committee of the Utah Democratic Party. Her favorite employment was working with her husband on their ranch in Hansel Valley.
An active member of the LDS Church, she had served in scouting, taught Primary and gospel doctrine, and had been a member of the Logan Stake Mutual Board. In 1961, she directed the first Logan Stake production of "Promised Valley."

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 25 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 am prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Providence City Cemetery.
