Alan was a man who worked as hard on himself as he did washing windows.
He enjoyed making people smile and was the first to crack a joke to lighten a tough situation.
Life for him may not have been easy, but he never gave up and that’s something to be proud of.
He passed on after a tragic accident with a heart full of love surrounded by his kids Alex (Meg) Everhart, Amanda (Dustin) Clark, Tanner Barber, parents Helen and Norman Barber, and siblings Patti (Larry) Wiser, Kathleen (Stephen) Cooke, Phillip (Lisa) Barber, David (Diana) Barber, Paul Barber, and Susan (Keith) James.
He was preceded in death by one son and together they are dancing in heaven again.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center.
