LOGAN - Alan Howard Perry, 71, passed away November 7, 2018, following a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born January 21, 1947, to Clarence and Roma Perry. He married Sue Thayne November 22, 1966.
Alan graduated from Utah State University in 1980 with his Aerospace Engineering degree. He worked for Western Airlines and Lockheed in Southern California before moving to Seattle to work for Boeing. Some of the planes he worked on include the 747, the 757, the 767, and the 777 Dreamliner. He would joke that he made paper airplanes because the paperwork involved weighed as much as the airplane itself.
Alan was a temple ordinance worker in Seattle Temple for over 20 years.
In 2007 after 27 years, he retired from Boeing and moved to Logan. He loved motorcycles, riding to both coasts, and was an active member of the Temple Riders Association. He also sang baritone with the American Festival Chorus.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children Laura (Doug) Kabel, Steven (Teresa), Adele, and Wade (Angela); brothers Kent and Karl; sister Eileen Campbell; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathryn.
A viewing will be from 6 to 8 pm November 15 at the Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan and at 10:00 to 10:45 am at Lundstrom Park LDS Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 am on November 16 at the Lundstrom Park LDS Chapel, 1260 N 1600 E, Logan.
