September 4, 1919 — October 17, 2007

BOUNTIFUL, UTAH: Our dear mother, Alene Redd McDonald age 88, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2007 in Bountiful.
She was born Sept. 4, 1919 in Blanding to Herbert Haven and Myrtle Porter Redd. She married Dean M. McDonald Aug. 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
As an active member of the LDS Church, she served in numerous callings, including missionary in the California Mission, various teaching assignments in the Relief Society, and as a Visiting Teacher which she loved. Her kindness radiated to all she served in the gospel, community, and among her friends and neighbors.
She also gave many years of service as campaign chairman of the Heart Fund, winning many awards for her efforts, as well as a board member to many committees in support of her husband.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joi (Kenneth) Cooper, Huntington Beach, Ca., Lynette McDonald, Mesa, Ariz., Marian (Ray) Guymon, Huntington, Utah, Michael McDonald, Provo, Julie (Richard) Swope, Bountiful, Jeorge (Amy) Romero, Albuquerque, N. M., 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a brother-in-­law, Roy A. Barrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dean, a little son, Lloyd R. McDonald, Parents, Herbert and Myrtle, sisters, Garda, Lola, Ruth, and a brother Herbert.
Mother we love you, you will be remembered in our hearts and loved for your sweet spirit by your family and all those who's lives you've touched.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27th at 12:00 pm in the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10:30 - 11:45 am. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
