Alexander Mark Nelson

Alex was born August 15th, 1985 in Tallahassee, Florida to Jack Nelson and Karen Sheets, and struggled from the very beginning with life itself. His endurance and patience were a testimony of his calling and he blessed those of us left behind with a love that transcends this mortal existence.
Alex always found the strength to bring joy to those around him and helped us put our own challenges in perspective. His sweet spirit will remain forever imprinted on our hearts and souls - an election made sure.
He loved lighting displays and treasured the 4th of July as his favorite. On birthdays, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin laser shows at the planetarium were a joy for him to watch and for his family to watch him.
Our baby boy has made his homecoming now as a man, free of the suffering and affliction of this world, to a place of honor with our Heavenly Father.
He is survived by his parents Rod and (Karen) Sheets, (Jack) and Mary-lu Nelson; siblings (Matt) and Kasandra Nelson, Aaron and (Marissa) Boyer and Andy and (Annaliese) Stettler; step-siblings; grandparents; aunts; uncles and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 2:00pm on Friday, February 17th at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held before the service from 1:00 - 2:00pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park
