Alice Faye Rasmussen Rogers, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 at Sunshine Terrace in Logan, UT. She was born August 6, 1927 in Magrath, Alberta Canada to John Moroni and Mary Maude Bennett Rasmussen.
She married Howard L. Rogers on June 17, 1953 in the Cardston, Alberta Temple and they moved to Logan. He preceded her in death, February 9, 1969.
Mom worked for Dr. F. Neil Mortensen for many years and at Greenville Elementary School. She knitted hundreds of baby booties and beautiful sweaters and afghans and was a talented seamstress. Each of her grandchildren will treasure those things that were made for them.
She served a mission for the LDS church to Denmark. She served faithfully in her callings and was the ward organist for many years. She especially enjoyed working in the baptistry of the Logan Temple.
The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Hirst and his staff along with the staff at Sunshine Terrace Hospice for their care, especially Jamie, Pam and Dennis.
She is survived by her three children, John (Janis), Heber City, Faye (Doug) Eames, Brigham City, Ruthann (Larry) Mann, Logan, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sisters Fontella Boehme and Deann Atwood in Canada.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Howard, brothers and sisters Ardeth Bly, Ben Rasmussen, Lloyd Rasmussen, Leone Sorensen, Rachel Woodruff, and Robert Rasmussen.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013, at 11:00 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan. There will be no viewing but you may meet with the family from 10:00-10:45 prior to services on Friday.
