Allen Gardner

February 2, 1926 — December 7, 2012

Allen Gardner passed away Dec. 7, 2012 at Logan Regional Hosptial, from bone cancer complications, after a short illness.
Born in Orange, CA. on 2 Feb 1926 to Pansy Yarrington and Rea Gardner. Allen had 10 siblings. His parents and 4 siblings preceded him in death.
Allen served in the Marine Corp World War II in the Asian theater .. He worked in numerous volunteer positions in the church and community. He and wife Win served an LDS leadership mission in Georgia and So. Carolina 1991- 92.
They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary 5 Nov 2012. They are the parents of 8 children Alaine (James) Par'e, Sanna (Max) White, Derry (Randall) Bresee, Adreon (Gawain) Snow, Valynn (Mike) Highbarger, Gahr (Cheryl) Gardner, Even (Allison) Gardner. They are the Grandparents of 42, and Great-Grandparents of 94. One son Even, and 2 grandchildren are deceased.
Many remember Allen as the Cache County weed control supervisor from 1979-88.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Mendon 4th Ward Chapel, 20 North 100 West in Mendon. A viewing will be held prior to the services on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Graveside services will follow in the Mendon Cemetery with a Marine Corp World Ward II ceremony.
