Dr. Allen Paul Mitton, 57, Passed away 25 June 2024 at his home in Brigham City, Utah after a lengthy illness. He was born 10 March 1967 in Reno, Nevada to Dr. Von Allen Mitton and Suzanne Elizabeth Silbaugh. At the age of 7 his family moved to Alaska where he attended Baxter Elementary, Wasilla Jr. High and Wasilla High School where he graduated in 1985. He then served a mission in the Geneva Switzerland Mission, French speaking from Feb 1987 to Feb 1989 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his mission and continued to study his scriptures in French his whole life. One of his greatest joys was always speaking in French with his grandmother Elynore Silbaugh.
He graduated from Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry in June 1995 and practiced dentistry in Anchorage, Alaska until he became ill. He enjoyed all kinds of activities, especially skiing, hunting and fishing with his father. He was a very kind, generous, gentle person and loved everyone. He is the finest son any mother could have.
Allen is survived by his mother, his sister Cherie (Steven) Griffin, son Keegan (Regan) Mitton and three grandchildren Nova, Vaida, and Keen and Daughter Alexis (Slade) Saxton.
He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him very much. He joins his father, Von, and grandparents Paul and Elynore Silbaugh and Allen and Maxine Mitton in a wonderful reunion. We all rejoice because we know he is happy and finally free of years of pain. Until we meet again, we send all our love.
A Graveside Service for Allen will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, July 6 at the Wellsville City Cemetery.
