Allen H. Richman, 97, passed away September 26, 2016, at Terrace Grove in Logan, Utah. He was born in Newdale, Fremont County, Utah, the son of George McKinlay Richman and Amy Hunsaker. He married Melba Elsie Larsen on June 24, 1941, in the Logan LDS Temple.
He loved music and played saxophone and clarinet in the Cache Swingtette Band. Allen worked at Hill Field Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah as an electronic technician and instructor. He especially enjoyed working on the F4 Phantom Fighter aircraft. He retired from HAFB in 1981. Allen was an officiator in the Logan Temple, served in the Spanish extraction program, and many other callings in the LDS church.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Richman; a daughter, Paula Mathews of Logan, Utah; a daughter, Judy Richman of St. George, Utah; a son, Bruce Richman (Ranee) of Chubbuck, Idaho; a son, Darvel Richman (Allison) of Hyrum, Utah; a son-in-law, Mondell Knowles of Millville, Utah; a daughter-in-law Kathleen Richman of Logan, Utah; and by one sister, Lola Griffin of Littleton, Colorado. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Ilene Knowles and by a son, Mark Larsen Richman.
A viewing will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Millville Third Ward Church, 110 South Main, Millville, Utah followed by funeral services at noon in the Millville Third Ward Church. Interment will be in the Logan, Utah Cemetery with Military Honors.
