Allen Kenneth Baker

Allen Kenneth Baker, 48, died Thursday at 1:22 AM, on August 23, 2007, at the University of Utah Medical Center.
Allen was born Dec. 17, 1958, in Logan, Cache, Utah. He was the 2nd child of Kenneth M. and Savanna Shumway Baker.
Allen graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah where he excelled in Auto Mechanics. He was chosen to compete against other schools in a National Trouble Shooting contest that was held in Atlanta, Georgia where he won 2nd place. Before and after school he worked at the Buttercup Dairy in North Logan milking cows with his father.
Allen loved anything with an engine. He was one of the best mechanics around and eventually owned and ran Baker Machine with his father.
Allen spent many hours in the mountains and outdoors riding snowmobiles, dirt bikes, boating, and four-wheelers. He loved riding with his family and friends. Some of his last words were, "Tell my friends that we tore it up."
He married Sherry Heyrend in Oct 30, 1981 in Hyrum, Utah. They were later divorced. They were blessed with 4 children, Jason, Justin, Annalise, and Jenny and two grandchildren, Krista and Ethan.
He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Savanna Baker, and siblings; Vicki (Ken Thurston) of Hatch, NM, Connie (Doug Woodhead) of Atlanta, GA, Janet (Wells Hall) of Muleshoe, TX, Glenn (Stacey) of Smithfield, UT, Kevin (Cami) of Lehi, UT, Karen (Dan Carter) of Novi, MI and Gordon (Bridget) of Paradise, UT, and countless relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, and prior to funeral services from 12:30 to 1 :45 PM. Graveside services will follow at approximately 3:45 in the Logan City Cemetery.
