Amanda Lee Fisher Keto, 36, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Bremerton, Washington on September 29, 2019 after a courageous 33 year battle with Type 1 diabetes.
Amanda “Mandie” was born November 3, 1982 in Logan, Utah to Vernetta Jensen and David Fisher. She was the older sister of David Courtney Fisher. Amanda attended school in Logan and graduated from Logan High School. During her youth she was a student of the Tueller School of Dance. She loved to dance and perform. She enjoyed many weekends hiking and exploring new places with her family.
Amanda married the love of her life, Joshua Lee Keto, on June 10, 2012. They are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Andrew Eric Keto and Abbigail Leilani Keto. Amanda was a devoted wife and mother. She always provided her children with opportunities to learn, grow, and be happy. She was an active participant in the Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts of which her children were involved. She was also active in MOPS, a support group for moms with young children. Amanda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Amanda loved animals of every kind. She worked for Rover, providing care for other people’s pets. She had many return clients because of the excellent care she provided to their fur babies.
Amanda put her heart and soul into everything she did. She was compassionate, caring, thoughtful and giving. She always strove to create and maintain relationships. Family time was important to Amanda. She loved being with family and keeping up family traditions. Amanda looked forward each year to dressing up and attending the Navy Ball with her husband. She recently enjoyed her trip with Josh where she got to experience zip-lining for the first time.
Amanda’s grandfather Jensen was one of her heroes. He taught her many skills which she used throughout her life. Amanda was blessed with intelligence and was continuously learning new things. She had recently gone back to school to get her associates degree in psychology. She aspired to become a school guidance counselor or a special needs teacher.
Amanda is survived by her husband Joshua Keto; children, Andrew and Abbigail of Bremerton, Wa; parents, Vernetta Jensen of Hyrum, Ut. and David (Peggy) Fisher of Logan, Ut; brother, David Courtney (Becca) Fisher of Logan; Ut, parents in-law, Eric and Barbara Keto of Littleton, Co; brothers-in-law Justin Keto of Lakewood, Co and Jordan Keto of Littleton, Co; grandmother, Afton Jensen; niece, Sadee Fisher and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond D. Jensen, Audrey Bacon, Jilles VanNieuwenhuizen; and her little Angel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday October 8, 2019 at noon at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 10:30 to 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at
