Andrew G. Lee

If there ever was a guy that could do it all, it was Andy Lee. He could build anything from delicate wooden boxes to massive model dams. Heavy equipment and Barbie jeeps were no match for his creative mind and able hands. Andy was often heard saying, “I think I have that in my tool box,” and sure enough he always did.

Born on the fourth of July, 1973 the fireworks and parades were always for him. Andy’s love of building and aptitude for engineering began as a kid with elaborate forts on the Avon apple orchard where he grew up.

Andy’s adventure with his wife, Marni began when they snuck a puppy into a movie theater on their first date. They married in the fall of 2000 and Andy always joked they “retired” first. They spent their free time together traveling and playing at their property, the Draggin’ Ass. They finally settled down and moved to “town” (Paradise) in 2012 with the birth of their daughter Katelyn followed by Makenna in 2014.

Of all the things Andy built, the most impressive was his family. Andy was up for any adventure with his girls, from folding his six-foot frame into a child-sized go cart to learning the finer points of fingernail polish application. His love and affection welded his family to him, and he will forever be remembered as “the best dad ever” and the most wonderful husband.

Andy will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Katelyn and Makenna, and his wife Marni; his sisters Jennifer Eddings (Jeremy), Margaret Gittins (Jason), Elizabeth Stroud (Derrick); his brother Kevin B. Lee; and father, Jon G. Lee (Jill). He is preceded in death by his mother, Norene Beutler Lee, and grandparents, Eugenia Dalton Lee, Gurney W. Lee, Ida Andrus Beutler, and Wallace A. Beutler.

Please join Andy’s family for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 15, at 3 pm at the Paradise (North) DUP Park. Come as you are, Carhartts and Wranglers, cowboy hats and baseball caps. Bring your favorite memories to share and your sweet tooth.
