Andrew Alonzo Knudsen

September 18, 1931 — August 28, 2006

SMITHFIELD - Andrew Alonzo Knudsen , beloved husband,
father, grandfather and friend has returned home to
his Heavenly Father on August 28, 2006. Born
September 18, 1931 in Wells, Nevada to Andrew Alonzo
(Lon) Knudsen and Adrienne Harriet Hyde. He married
Janet Bohman on February 28, 1951 in the Logan LDS
Temple for time and all eternity.

He was schooled in both Nevada and Utah. Andrew
ranched in Wells, Nevada for 40 years. Andrew was
named Nevada Farm Bureau Rancher of the year. He
taught livestock physiology and reproduction classes
for Cache Valley Select Sires and Utah State
University. He was currently employed as the barn
Manager for the Utah State University Animal Husbandry
Research Facility.

Andrew was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints and served on the High Council,
Stake Sunday School, Bishopric and High Priest Group.
His favorite calling was a husband and father.

He is survived by his wife Janet (Smithfield), Sons
Vaughn (Marlyn Smart) Cottage Grove, Minnesota;
Carlyle (Margie Meacham), South Jordan, Utah; Reid
(Analee Spencer) Mayfield, Utah; Doyle (Jan Crossley)
Hyrum, Utah; Karen (Matt Larson) Smithfield, Utah. 24
Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Many Nieces
and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Alonzo
(Lon) Knudsen; Mother, Adrienne Hyde; Brother, Clair
Hyde Knudsen; Grand daughter Sherilyn Piquet; Grand
son, Andy Robinson

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday,
August 31, 2006 in the Smithfield North Stake Center,
155 West 400 North in Smithfield. A viewing will be
held Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the stake center
and prior to services at the stake center from 11:30
am to 12:30 pm. Interment will be in the Smithfield
City cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family
and register book signed at www.allenmortuaries.net .
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be
sent to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints perpetual education fund or missionary fund.
