On the morning of October 17, 2016, Ann Robison Thompson (71) passed away peacefully in her home, after a long battle with cancer. Her greatest joy and love was her family and friends.
Ann was the daughter of Budd and Zell Robison. She was born in Montpelier, Idaho, and raised in Logan, Utah. She graduated from Logan High School and married the love of her life, Ronald M Thompson on April 2, 1964 in the Logan Temple. They built their home and life in Providence.
She loved her annual camping trips to Beaver Mountain, Colter Bay and Strawberry Reservoir. She also enjoyed reading, cross stitching, crocheting and tolerated snowmobiling. She played a mean game of cards. Ann's favorite season was fall because of the changing colors of the leaves. Through all her health issues she was remarkable and always thought of others, never complained and kept a sharp sense of humor. She appreciated all the friends that stopped to visit. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loved all her church positions in which she served.
She is survived by her loving husband Ronald M Thompson, her children Kristi (Wes) Jensen, Kathy (Todd) Lanigan, Ann Marie (Darin) Anderson, Kenny (Ginger) Thompson, Lori (Matt) Plott, Jeff, 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, her sister Bette and brother Gerald. Ann was preceded in death by a her infant son, her parents and her sister Joy Olson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct 20th at 12 pm in the Providence 4th Ward chapel. There will be a viewing held Weds evening from 6-8 pm in the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center and at the church on Thursday from 10-11:30 am. Interment will be in the Providence City Cemetery.
