Anna Louise Perea, our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned to our Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family on Novrneber 9, 2008 in Providence, Utah.
Anna was born in Los, Angeles, Calif on May 4, 1942 to James Franco Flores and Estella Alice Gonzales. She grew up in East Los Angeles and attended Harrison Elementary, Belvedere Jr. High and Garfield H.S. She was involved in social clubs, tennis, and always had many friends.
She married Richard Perea and they were later sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Together they raised a family of 3 girls: Audrey, Valerie, and Kimberly. Anna loved her family and was a great example to many. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. Her greatest enjoyments were cooking, flamenco dancing, ironing everything from pillow cases to dad's shorts, and hosting parties for family and friends.
Anna leaves behind her husband Richard and their 3 daughters, Audrey Hivner, Valerie (David) Mittleman, and Kimberly (Cody) Dean. She loved her family with all her heart and they will never forget the love and kindness she expressed to them, as each one was her "favorite." Anna was preceded in death by her parents James and Estella Flores and baby brother James.
Funeral services will be held at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA on Monday, November 17 at 1:00 PM. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8:30 PM at 3888 Workman Mill Road in Whittier. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at
