Annette Thorpe Mitton Segon

FREMONT, CA: ANNETTE THORPE (MITTON) SEGON, - Our beloved wife and mother has left our presence to join her loved ones who have gone before. She was the daughter of Lorenzo and Julia Mitton. Born on Jan. 8, 1938 in Logan, Utah, she peacefully passed away on Oct 25, 2007 in Fremont, California, surrounded by her family. The cause of death was respiratory failure. She moved to California as an infant and she was a faithful life-long member of the LDS church. Family and church were most important to her. She had tremendous integrity, always standing up for what was right. She inspired everyone with her radiating joy an enthusiasm for life. She was forgiving and supportive to both her family and friends. She had great love for her flower garden and especially enjoyed feeding local wildlife in her backyard. She was an accomplished musician teaching many the joys of music through song, piano and organ. She held many jobs within the church. One of her favorite was as organist in the Oakland Temple. With her wit, her original skits, plays and songs, Annette made everything fun! She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer s, Alameda camp. She is survived by the love of her life, husband, Joseph Segon; children April (Jim) Sturtevant, Greenwood, CA; Ron (Shari) Segon, Roseville, CA; and Linda (Jason) Nessen, Tremonton, UT; sister Eileen (Brian) Burbank, Wellsville, UT; grandchildren Samantha, Ryan and Rachel Sturtevant; Joseph, Jaclyn, Gregory and Matthew Segon; Parker, Kelby, Brennen, Ireland, Liam, and Avery Nessen. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Allen -Hall Mortuary. Services will follow the viewing beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery
