Our beloved wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, Arlene Lamb Fluckiger, passed away March 22, 2016, surrounded by her family. Arlene was born June 11, 1943, in Logan, to Willis and Andrea Lamb. Her siblings include Basil, Beth, LaRee, Blaine, and William. They have all passed.
She has many fond memories of growing up in Hyde Park. Mom attended schools in Cache Valley and graduated from North Cache High School in 1961.
Mom met Dad when her friends stopped for ice cream while cruising Main. After a short courtship, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple in September 1965. They moved into their home on Fifth North in Logan shortly after marrying, and have spent a lifetime cultivating friendships with neighbors who have come and gone.
They are blessed with eight children, and eighteen grandkids: Coleen and Michael Olson, Citrus Heights, CA; Mark and Adrian, Mt. View, CA; Lisa and Donald Nerdin, American Fork, UT; Karen, Logan; Paul and Alison, Smithfield; Jennifer, Logan; Brian and Kate, River Heights; and Jan and Michael Shaw, North Logan.
Arlene was a faithful member of the Church. She held many callings, and especially loved being in the Primary, where she served for over 20 years. She and dad also served a Church Service Mission at the LDS Employment Center in Logan. At the time of her passing, she enjoyed serving as a visiting teacher and visiting teaching district supervisor. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel.
Mom and Dad cherished their involvement and friendships in the National Association of Letter Carriers. She enjoyed many years working as a judge of election at the voting polls.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Logan 17th Ward, 250 N 400 W. Viewings will be held Friday, March 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center St. in Logan, and prior to the funeral at the church from 9:30 to 10:30.
