ARLENE LOOSLE JOHNSON
Arlene Loosle Johnson, our loving mother, passed away on May 15, 2012 after a two-week fight with viral pneumonia. She was born September 4, 1926, in Clarkston, Utah, to Byron Lee and Ella Larson Loosle. She graduated from North Cache High School. She married "the love of her life" Earl Johnson on November 23, 1946. On August 1, 1952, the marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple. She lived in several places during her lifetime including several years in Smithfield and the past nine years in St. George, Utah. She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in various Church callings; but was proudest of her service as an LDS missionary in the North Sydney Australia Mission.

She is survived by a son, Rex Johnson, and five daughters: Carol (Steck), Darla (Frandsen), Yvonne (Haynes), Diane (Ford), and Annette (Krug). Brothers Lyle and Marlin Loosle and a sister Ileen (Barlow) also survive her. Preceding her in death were her husband Earl, a son Craig and four siblings (Stratford, Annabel, Rhea and Gordon). Her seven children, 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in the Smithfield LDS Chapel at 100 W. 200 S. in Smithfield. A viewing will be held Monday, May 20th, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, and on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM prior to the funeral services at the church.
