Arthur "Pete" Holbrook

Arthur George ‘Pete’ Holbrook passed away at his home in Logan, UT, Monday October 21st, 2013. Pete was born in Emmett, Idaho, December 16th, 1929. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Hansen, April 16th 1948. They are the proud parents of 4 children, Cynthia, Bob, Colleen, and Jerry, 18 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.
Pete graduated from Emmett High School in 1947, where he was on the varsity basketball team. He enrolled and attended some college in Boise, and later had a successful career with Boise Cascade. He and Ruth joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1953, and established a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ for their entire family.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and following his retirement, he and Ruth traveled the world seeing many of the wonders of the earth including, the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal, climbed to a Tibetan monastery, and many others locations around the globe. There are few corners United States where Pete and Ruth have not traveled.
Funeral services in Logan, Utah will be held at 11:00 AM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary at 34 East Center Street, Logan, UT 84321 on Thursday, October 24, 2013. A viewing will held prior to services beginning at 9:30 AM.
The funeral in Emmett, Idaho will take place at 980 West Central Road, Emmett, Idaho. Viewing will begin at 9:30 am, with services beginning at 11:00.
