Barbara Ann Humphreys
Born on Aug 1, 1947 to Ariel and Dorothy Krech Humphreys in California passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday January 29th in Logan due to her many health issues
Barb spent her childhood in Millville with her parents and brothers and sisters, Robert, Roger, Ronnie, Sandra, Lee and Cheryl as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
After graduating high school from South Cache High Barb spent her working life at various jobs as a cook. She spent many years cooking at the Bluebird in Logan and at Sunshine Terrace until her health forced her to retire. Barb never complained about working due to the strong moral values and work ethic instilled by her parents and family. Barb could be seen walking or riding her bike to and from work in the morning and afternoon as she never drove a car.
Barbs greatest joys in life were her son Jason, a good book, a cup of coffee and riding her big three wheeler around town. As time went on she had the thrill of being a grandma to Jason's three girls who she loved dearly as well as her best little buddy and companion Shadow who will miss her mom more than she can tell us.
Barb loved to go camping where she would sit by the fire and read one of her books and be as happy as a clam. She truly enjoyed the small things in life no matter what life threw at her because she would never complain, just look on the bright side and move on. She enjoyed the company of more friends than you could count because to meet Barb meant falling in love with her and having a friend for life. She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Robert, Roger, Ronnie and Lee and her sister Sandra, and a nephew, Corey Chapin.
Barb is survived by her son Jason Humphreys, his wife Brenda, three granddaughters Katlynn, Ashle and Malinda, her sister Cheryl (Cory) Myers, Nephew, Robert Chapin and his children Taylor and Sara as well as several other nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
The family would like to voice a special thanks to all those at the Logan regional dialysis center for all the kindness you have shown Barb over the past few years. She loved you all even when she didn't say so. We would also like to thank Dr. Stones for all the care you have given Barb.
