Barbara Shaffer Seamons Jensen

Barbara Shaffer Seamons Jensen, 95, passed away Saturday, July 1,2006, at the home of her daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born November 2, 1910, in Battlecreek (north of Preston), Idaho, to Oscar Munroe and Mary Ethel Shaffer Seamons, the third of seven children. She received her education in the Preston City School District, and graduated from Preston High School. Later the family moved to Logan, Utah. She married La Vor Ericksen Jensen (later divorced). Barbara lived in Logan until retirement when she went to live with her daughter.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Ethel-Lee Jensen, Salt Lake City; one niece: Marie Adams, Morgan, Utah; and four nephews: Oscar Monroe McCann, Logan, Utah; Ralph Erickson, Midvale, Utah; Bruce Erickson, Newton, Utah; and Ed Erickson, Centerville, Utah. Barbara was the last living member of her father's family. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings: Geneva McCann, Harold Seamons, Eleanor McCann, Elmond Seamons, Berenice Erickson and Russell Seamons. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones, friends, and family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center, Logan, with Bishop Troy Johnson of the Logan LDS 3rd Ward Conducting. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Preston Idaho Cemetery.
