Beatrice I. Arnell
Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister has left this world to be with her mom and dad again. Beatrice Irwin Arnell died October 8, 2008 from complications of pneumonia. She was 76 years old.
Mom was born August 18, 1932, in Logan, Utah, to Brigham Young Irwin and Emma Joyce Young Irwin. She grew up in St. Charles, Idaho, on the family farm. She was the youngest of five girls. She graduated from Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho. Growing up, she worked on the farm, helping her father, and then upon graduation, she traveled to California to live with her oldest sister, Maxine, and work. She returned to St. Charles, where she married Edward Kay Arnell. They had two children, Crystal and Kim. They were later divorced.
In 1958, she moved to Logan, Utah, and worked for Thiokol Chemical Corporation. After the birth of her second child, she began working at Clearfield Cheese in Wellsville, Utah, until they closed their plant, at which time she worked for Weathershield in Logan, Utah, until her retirement. Mom was a very dedicated and hard worker that never complained and enjoyed the people she worked with.
Mom loved being with people and working with them. She was past president of the Logan Eagles Auxiliary, and State Madam President. She loved organizing events, traveling to the conventions and attending their dances.
She is survived by her two children, Crystal Arnell Gammon (John), Logan, Utah, and Erwin Kim Arnell, North Logan, Utah, three sisters, Maxine Boitano, Dillon Beach, California; LaRue Cronquist, North Logan, Utah; and Virginia Jackson, Providence, Utah. She has three grandchildren, Tiffany Smith(Mike) of Orem, Utah; Andrea Porter (Jeremy Hamblin) of Clearfield, Utah; and Jennifer Telford (Kirk) of Montpelier, Idaho, and 11 great-grandchildren. She also has numerous nieces and nephews who considered her their second mom. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Joyce Young Shelton; her father, Brigham Young Irwin, and her sister, Rosella Parsons.
“We love you and will miss you!”
