Belva Andersen Christensen

April 21, 1932 — June 1, 2005

Ogden, Utah- Belva Andersen Christensen passed away
suddenly on June 1, 2005 at the McKay-Dee Hospital in
Ogden.
Belva was born in Brigham City on April 21, 1932 a
daughter of Alonzo and Margaret (Bassett) Andersen.
She married Norman B. Christensen July 2, 1952 in the
Logan Temple.
She graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham
City in 1950 and attended Weber State and Utah State
University. She worked beside her husband, first in
their Salt Lake City floral business, Norman’s Floral
Arts, and later in their San Francisco Store, The
Greenhouse. Belva served in many church callings, from
Relief Society President to Nursery Leader. She also
taught early morning seminary in her former, Walnut
Creek, California Ward. Children were her special
interest.
Belva is survived by her husband, Norman Christensen
of Providence, Utah, her daughters, Lisa Christensen
of Middletown, California and Cristina Christensen
Lawrence and husband, Paul, of Kaysville, Utah, and
her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Britton, Wyatt,
Courtney, Sheridan, Ethan, and Christian. She is also
survived by her siblings and their spouses, Melvin and
Patsy Andersen, Delpha and Steve Baird, Faye Jeppson,
Ralph and Margaret Andersen, Vertis and Sandra
Andersen, and Jean and Seth Jensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister,
Carol Andersen, a niece, Mary Jeppson, a brother in
law, Ralph Jeppson, and two nephews, James and Robert
Jeppson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2005 at
1:00 p.m. in the Fruitland Acres Ward building, 155 N,
100 East in Providence, Utah. A viewing will be held
Sunday, June 5th at Allen Hall Mortuary 34 E Center St
in Logan from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to
the funeral service at the church. Burial will be at
the Brigham City Cemetery, located at 3rd E and 4th
South Streets. Condolences may be sent to the family

The family suggests donations be made to the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation of Utah, 151 E 5600 South, Salt
Lake City, UT 84107.
