Benjamin Franklin Turman Jr. passed away Sunday evening November 14, 2010 as the result of an accident. He was 72 years old. He was the oldest son of Benjamin Franklin Turman Sr. and Glenna Andrews Turman.
He was raised in River Heights and graduated from South Cache High School. He was a Journeyman Electrician by trade. He was involved with many organizations including the National Guard, the Lions Club and the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.
He was married to Nadine Herring and they had three daughters,. They lived in River Heights then moved to Providence where he resided at the time of his death. Dad and mom were divorced and he later married Beverly Sorensen. They were also divorced. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his three daughters, Rose Ann (Lee) Anderson, Mary Kay (Deon) Hunsaker and Carol Lee (Mike) Rosenhan, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by two sisters Sharon (Joe) Marshall, Kathy (Ron) Grow, two brothers Dale and Terry and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents.
We want to acknowledge the special friendship he had with Mike and Lorri Mayers and their family, Doyle Adams and Carl Fortune. Dad was known by many people and had many friends throughout the valley. We appreciate you all.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Logan Regional Hospital, the EMT's and emergency personal at the scene who offered their assistance and took such good care of dad.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at noon in the Providence 1st Ward Building, 420 West 100 North. There will a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan and from 10:30-11 :30 a.m. prior to the funeral on Friday.
