Beth Jorgensen Allen passed away Nov. 21, 2013. Beth was born on Sept. 16, 1919, to Royal Elred and Bernice Ellis Jorgensen. She was raised in Amalga and graduated from North Cache High School. She attended Utah State University for a year before marrying Ruel Winfred Allen. Ruel was hired by Standard Oil Company and was transferred often, so the family lived in California (San Diego), Nevada (Boulder City), Arizona (Holbrook, Tucson, Williams), Washington (Aberdeen), and Idaho (Idaho Falls). They finally returned to Logan, where they settled in the Cliffside area.
Beth worked at the Keith Jorgensen music store in Logan for many years. Beth was widowed in 1990 after 50 years of marriage. She continued to work until she was 80, after which she served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City for a year and a half. She remained in her home until she moved to Pioneer Village in North Logan and then to Jamestown in Provo because of her worsening Alzheimer's condition. Beth is survived by two daughters (Beverly Miner and Marcia Flake) and one son (R. Jay Allen). She has 16 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five younger siblings: Dell, Ruth (Gittins), Ray, Noreen (Cronquist), and Keith. Beth has always enjoyed good health and has loved to travel and to see different places in the world. Her family is very proud of her, loves her and will miss her very much.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, with a viewing beforehand at 10 a.m.
