Beth C. Anderson

January 30, 1921 — April 14, 2016

With a mixture of joy and sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Beth Collings Anderson Parrish, on April 14, 2016, at the age of 95. She was born January 30, 1921 in American Falls, Idaho to John Collings and Lillian Orissa Allred. At the age of 4 her family moved to Southern California.

She attended Polytechnic Beauty College and received her license in Cosmetology.

She married H. Grant Anderson on Sept. 30, 1939.

She found her greatest joy in being a wife and a mother. They had four children, Marsha Cluff of Providence, UT, Paula (Ken) Bell of Colorado Springs, CO., Grant (Martine) Anderson of South Jordan, UT., and Arlene (Ed) Chappell of Delhi, IA.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions of leadership throughout her life. She loved spending time with family crocheting, DUP, and for the past 65 years camping at Carpinteria State Beach.

She lost her husband in 1990 and with her daughter Marsha moved to Providence. Here she reconnected with a special friend from her teenage years, and at the age of 80 she married Coulson Parrish in 2002, and moved to Twin Falls, ID. She loved his family and they loved her. She lost Coulson in 2009, and returned to Providence.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, and two sisters, Eathel and Orissa. She is survived by her brother John Collings, four children, 21 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23 at the Providence 4th Ward Chapel, 155 North 100 East in Providence. A viewing will be held from 9-10:30 AM prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, CA.
