Betsy Ann Hill Heaps

March 30, 1914 — July 4, 2010

Logan, Utah: Betsy Ann Hill Heaps, 96, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Williamsburg Retirement Center. She was born March 30, 1914 in Smithfield, Utah to Frank H. and Rose Gittins Hill. She attended Cache County schools and graduated from North Cache High School in 1931. She married Orvil Heaps on November 23, 1932, in the Logan LDS Temple. HE died in January 1971. She was employed at Utah Power and Light Company working in Smithfield, Preston, Idaho and Ogden where she retired in 1979, after 18 years of service.
She has been active in the LDS Church all her life and served in almost every organization including an organist for many organizations and in the men’s choir. She has crocheted afghans, made quilts and other items for family and friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Randall Heaps, Rozara (Rudy) Globokar, Lynn (Jolene, deceased) Heaps, Lyle deceased and Sue Heaps, and Charlotte Gailey. One son, Orvil Scott was deceased at birth.
She has 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, where friends may call prior to services from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Smithfield Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the Williamsburg Retirement Center Staff and also Access Home Health Care & Hospice Staff for their loving care given to our mother.
