Betty Jean Price Bassett died January 16, 2020 at her home with her daughter at her side.
Betty was born in Wellsville, Utah the daughter of Robert and Ruby Price. She married Dee Wayman Bassett January 16, 1947 and later was sealed in the Logan Temple. They had four children: Mark, Bruce, Diane and Becky.
Mom lived in Wellsville all her life. She had five brothers and two sisters, one passed away at birth. She loved horses and was Rodeo Queen, and with her two daughter they won many trophies.
She taught herself to play the piano and accordion, and made sure her two sons learned how to play also.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Robert and Ruby; one daughter; a daughter-in-law; a grandson and a great-grandson. She is survived by three children; her sister; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. A viewing will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, January 24, beginning at 12:00 pm at the Wellsville Stake Center, 30 South Center, with a viewing prior from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
