Betty Jo Miller

Betty Jo Maughan Miller was born in Tooele Utah on June 12, 1948, to Bessie “Betty” Allen Maughan and Ralph Clark Maughan. Betty Jo was the third of five children along with her siblings Jim, Nancy, Milton, and David.
Betty Jo grew up and attended schools in Tooele, where she graduated in 1966. She attended Utah State University and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science - Education Composite. She married Steve Vance and lived in Missoula, Montana. Betty Jo and Steve have two children, Weston and Cathy Jo. Betty Jo and Steve were divorced and she later married Larry Miller, Sr. and lived in Florence, Montana.
She earned a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Montana, with an emphasis in Interpersonal Relationships. She taught interpersonal communications at the University of Montana in Helena and was later made assistant to the Director at the Adams Center on the University campus in Missoula. For many years she taught Tai Chi at the University of Montana.
Betty Jo is survived by her husband, Larry Miller Sr., of Las Vegas; son S. Weston Vance, daughter Cathy Jo Vance, and sons Larry Miller Jr., Ryan Miller, Travis Miller, daughters Leah Senatra and Shae Miller, and granddaughters Analicia and Sophie.

Funeral services will be held in Logan, Utah on Saturday, August 20th at the Allen-Hall Mortuary located at 34 E Center Street, Logan UT 84321. Viewing will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service will begin at 12:00. Burial to be in the Logan City Cemetery following the service. After the graveside services, family and friends are invited to gather at the Hyrum 4th Ward church, 245 Apple Drive, Hyrum UT 84319.
