Betty Jean Gleason
Betty Jean Gleason, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2006 after suffering many years with Alzheimer’s disease.
Betty Jean was born on April 24, 1928 in San Diego, California. She lived her youth and adult life in southern California before retiring to Wellsville, Utah.
Her passion in life was her family and her membership and service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Wesley Gleason and grandsons, Jerry Lee Gleason and Mark Douglas Gleason.
She is survived by her 3 sons and 2 daughters; Wesley (Barbara) Gleason, Wellsville, Utah; Dennis (Connie) Gleason, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Richard (Liza) Gleason, Wellsville, Utah; Terry (Joe) Mazzarelli, Gilbert, Arizona, and Lorna (Paul) Whitehead, Chandler, Arizona. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wellsville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
