Betty Jean Boyack Bridges

August 31, 1921 — March 4, 2006

COLLEGE WARD, UTAH: Beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, Betty Bridges passed away April 4th
2006, surrounded by her most treasured possession, her
loving family.

Born August 31st, 1921, Spanish Fork, Utah to Grant
William and Enola Davis Boyack.

Married Seldon S Bridges August 26th, 1940 in the Salt
Lake Temple.

Her greatest love in life and her greatest joy was to
be surrounded by her 56 grandchildren. She was the
center and the lifeblood of her large family. Our most
treasured memories are of her Christmas, Thanksgiving
and other family parties that she loved to plan.

Her greatest love in church service was serving in the
primary where she could be around all of her of
“primary kids”. They all felt the benefit of her love
and service to them, especially at Halloween where
they would come to her home and be treated with not
just a piece of candy but a whole bag of treats.

Other faithful church service included the MIA, Relief
Society, Junior Sunday School and a love of temple
service.

The example that she set for all those around her,
with her courage, and her happy, loving, attitude,
even through her pain and health struggles, will
always be treasured. Everyone who came in contact
with her went away feeling uplifted and happy to know
her. She made everyone feel that they were a special
friend to her and they felt loved.

She is survived by her brother Sam (Shirl) Boyack and
preceded in death by her sisters Ruth “Mickey” (Bob)
Bletzacker and Shirley Flowers and her parents.

She is survived by her husband Seldon, of 65 years and
her children, Carolyn (Tad) Jeppesen, Kent (Debbie)
Bridges, Sandra (Terry) Dubois, daughter in law,
Laurie Bridges and Lynn (Jill) Bridges. Two of her
children, Dennis and Susan Bridges, are enjoying a
happy reunion in heaven with her at this time.

A special thanks to all of her health care workers in
Logan and Salt Lake City for keeping her with us these
last 9 years especially, her personal physician and
trusted friend, Dr. Michael Stones.

We will all truly miss the most Christ Like person we
have ever known.
