BETTY MAE BOSTOCKLOGAN, UTAH: Betty Mae Bostock, 81, passed away November 22, 2009, at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Betty was born June 4, 1928, in Tremonton, Utah to Carl and Elva Rogers Maisak and was the youngest of five children. After her mother passed away at an early age, Betty was cared for by caring neighbors Elmer and Mamie Goringe.
She was a Bear River High School graduate and attended beauty school in Ogden, Utah. She enjoyed horses and was a champion barrel racer. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Betty married George Bostock and together they raised five children, Nancy Lindgren - Surprise AZ, Lawrence Ronald Wells – Logan UT, Carla Horn – North Logan UT, Brett (Cindy) Bostock – North Logan UT, and Jon Scott (Lisa) Bostock – Providence UT.
After her retirement from Saddleman Seat Covers, Betty enjoyed maintaining a beautiful yard and could be found working there daily. She was passionate about the Utah Jazz and never missed a televised game. Grandma Betty was a favorite with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they were what meant most to her.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Roger Maisak and LaVern Maisak and one sister Pearl Maisak.
She is survived by her children, 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Dee Anderson, sister-in-laws, Doris Maisak, LaRene Maisak..
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 12:00 noon at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 E 1800 N, North Logan. Viewings will be held Friday from 6-8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen Mortuary of North Logan. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Sub-4-Santa of Logan in the name of Betty Bostock, 290 North 400 East, Logan, Utah 84321.
