LOGAN, UTAH: Betty Mae Love, 82, passed away peacefully July 4, 2007 at Logan Regional Hospital, due to complications from an unexpected brain aneurysm.
Betty was born January 19, 1925 to LeRoy and Twila Mae Isaac in Spanish Fork, UT. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School, then attended BYU. She worked as an executive secretary at Geneva Steel until she was called to serve an LDS mission in the Texas-Louisiana Mission. This is where she met the love of her life, Rulon James Love, and they later married in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 18, 1950. They have had homes in Layton, Taylorsville, Price, Blackfoot, ID and Logan.
Betty had a strong testimony of the gospel and served in many positions, including Relief Society and Primary President. She and Rulon also served a second mission together in Dallas, Texas. She is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Rulon James Love, her six children, Dave (Marci) Love of Logan, Steve (Kathy) Love of Taylorsville, Karen (Mike) George of Idaho Falls, Kevin (Ronda) Love of West Jordan, Lorie (Bill) Stone of St. George, and Allen Love of Provo. She is also survived by one sister, LaRae (Fred) Ficklin of Salem, and one brother, Allen (Kathy) Isaac of Midvale. Betty has 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Twila Mae Isaac, and her sister, Mary Hansen.
Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was small in stature but big in heart. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening and her doll collection. Her family meant everything to her. They enjoyed many camping and fishing trips together. Her favorite place to spend the holidays was Hidden Springs Ranch. Betty was always helping and serving others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Quailbluff Ward Chapel, located at 1380 E. 25 N., Logan, UT with Bishop Jason Allen conducting. There will be a viewing on Friday, July 6, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center, Logan, UT and Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 am at the Quailbluff church.
