Beverly Louise Joy Gancheff passed away June 24, 2018. She was born January 25, 1930 to Charles William Joy and Sarah Muzzenta Bassett Joy. She has one brother (Gary), one sister and three more brothers came after her mother died and her father married Merle Larsen.
Beverly attended Wellsville Elementary School, Logan Jr. High, and graduated from Logan High School in 1948. She graduated from the Logan LDS Institute at which time she shook hands with President David O. McKay. She always considered this a very good experience. Beverly also served an LDS mission in Hall, England.
Beverly married David J. Gancheff on February 10, 1970. He passed away May 23, 2002. They were not blessed with children, but she loved her nieces and nephews as her own. They will miss her a great deal.
Beverly loved giving service to others, volunteering at the Woodruff Elementary School and at Cache County Tourist Information Center. She was a good hard worker and when she said she would do something you knew it would be done.
Beverly served in many church callings, but her favorite was church librarian which she held for many years. She retired from retail sales administration for F.W. Woolworth and J.C. Penney companies with a combination of over 50 years of service.
Beverly is survived by (Gary) Sherrill Joy family, Ellen (James) Wagstaff family, David Joy family, Kelly Joy, James (Holly) Joy, Sherry Joy, Robert and Nadine Joy family, Brian Joy, Helen and David Stoker family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Gary, and sister-in-law Holly Joy.
The family would like to give a special thanks for the love, service, and help Beverly received from Dr. Michael Stones and staff, Williamsburg Assisted Living Center staff, Sunshine Hospice Care, Sunshine Terrace, and James Vanderbeek, a special friend. They would also like to thank Ed Winger with Plant Peddler Floral for his beautiful flowers and services for Beverly.
We will miss you Beverly, but we know you are now at peace.
Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Mt. Logan Stake Center, 650 East 100 South, Logan, beginning at 12:00 pm with a viewing prior from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Interment will take place in the Logan City Cemetery.
