Beverly Fitton Nickel, wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was taken to her eternal home on July 20, 2006. Beverly died at home due to complications relative to Amyloidosis.
Beverly was born on August 25, 1926 to Robert Owen and Ellen Poulsen Fitton in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The family moved to Nebraska and Beverly graduated from North High School in Omaha. She attended B.Y.U. in 1946 where she met and later married Douglas B. Andrew. They were blessed with five children.
Beverly had many talents and skills which she used to bless those around her. With her great entrepreneurial spirit she owned and operated two retail fabric stores in Michigan. She was very artistic and loved to use her remarkable decorating skills. She was a dear and loyal friend to many.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her love for Jesus Christ blessed her life and many others. She served in many aspects of the church and cherished her relationships and sisterhood that she found there.
She met and later married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple to Walter N. Nickel. They enjoyed the challenge and excitement of building and remodeling several homes in Arizona and Utah. They enjoyed many adventures together including serving as guides at the Logan Tabernacle last summer. Family was everything to Beverly and we will all miss her loving kindness towards us all.
She is survived by her dear husband and best friend, Walter N. Nickel, siblings Robert Fitton and Cherill Ashby, children Scott (Lupita) Andrew, Gregory Andrew, Carol (Randy) Hall, Eric (Trish)Andrew, Meridith (Jenner) Marcucci, Penny (Joseph) Stucki, Gary (Alexis) Nickel, and 31 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 1O:00 am in the Willow Valley First Ward Chapel at 125 West 600 North Logan. The viewing will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Allen- Hall Mortuary at 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah and at the Church one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday morning. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 South Highland Drive) in Salt Lake City, Utah between 3-3:30 p.m. that afternoon. Condolences may be sent to the family at
