William "Bill" Jones

William Joseph Eddy Jones, 80, passed away December 30, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. 

He was born November 14, 1944 in Bisbee, Arizona to William and Viola Jones. Soon after, his family moved to Roswell, New Mexico where he grew up with his three sisters.

During the Vietnam War Bill served in the Army in a hospital in Georgia until he was honorably discharged.

He married Sally in 1974 in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1980, his son, Eric, was born. Then, in 1987, they moved to North Logan, Utah where he worked at Campbell Scientific writing computer programs until he retired.

After Sally passed away in 2017, Bill married Melinda in 2018. He is survived by his wife Melinda, sisters Carol and Nancy, son Eric (wife Ayako), and granddaughters Layla and Kylee.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday January 15th at 6:00pm at Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, in North Logan.
