Blake T. Farnsworth
1953 - 2012
Blake T. Farnsworth, born March 10, 1953 in Santa Monica, CA passed away May 5, 2012 in Hyde Park, UT after a courageous battle with cancer.
Blake’s career carried him from Tallulah, LA where he was involved with the family lumber business, to Corvalis, OR where he earned his Master of Forestry Degree at Oregon State University and was subsequently employed as a faculty research assistant, then on to Tucson, AZ where he worked for Columbia University at the Biosphere II as an ecological physiologist, and finally to Logan, UT where he worked for Campbell Scientific as an applications engineer. Blake was admired and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Leone Dingman; step-father, Al Dingman; and brother, Bruce Farnsworth.
Blake is survived by the love of his life, wife Kathy Farnsworth; brother, Perry Farnsworth of Atlanta, GA; cousin, Martha Whitacker of Vicksburg, MS; and an extended family that includes many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of Blake’s life was held at Allen Hall Mortuary in North Logan on May 7, 2012 and presided over by Bear Pitts.
