Bonna Lue Daniels Pack Cardon
December 22, 1919 - September 17, 2016
Bonna Lue Daniels Pack Cardon passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the age of 96.
Bonna Lue was born on December 22, 1919 to Cleon Price and Vurvian Daines Daniels, one of thirteen children, eight of whom lived to adulthood. After graduating from Logan High, she attended Utah State Agricultural College and earned a degree in music.
Bonna Lue met William Donald Pack (Don) at Utah State when he came to the music department to find a dance partner for an upcoming competition. On the advice of President Heber J. Grant, they married before Don's mission on January 11,1941. Once she finished her degree, Bonna Lue joined Don in the North Central States Mission. Together they raised a family of nine children (Dan, Carol, Genie, Gayle, Vurvian, Kevin, David, Gary, and Phillip). Eleven years after Don's death in 1987, Bonna Lue married Phil Cardon, who loved her grandchildren as his own.
Bonna Lue's greatest joy was her family. She taught her children and grandchildren to love music and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her faith and unconditional love were a beacon of light for her family and everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.
She leaves behind a legacy of unfailing faith and positivity for her nine children, 68 grandchildren, 175 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Though she will be missed by those still living, she has gone on to a reunion with husband Don, son Dan, Phil Cardon, her parents, nine of her siblings, and countless other friends and family members who passed on before her.
A viewing will be held on Thursday September 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Allen Hall Mortuary at 420 E. 1800 North in North Logan. Another viewing will be held in the North Logan Stake Center at 2750 N. 800 East on Friday, September 23, between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00.
