Bonnie Lou Clawson 88, passed away in Logan, Utah on Monday May 9th 2016. She was born in Ogden Utah, January, 31, 1928 to Elliott Bingham and Doris Tribe Bingham.
She graduated from Great Falls Montana High School in 1945 and then attended Utah State University. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and was the “Sweetheart of the Sigma Chi.”
She met the love of her life, Jack Clawson and they were married in 1949 and moved to Logan, Utah where Jack graduated from Utah State University. Bonnie and Jack spent three years in Germany and traveled all over Europe.
Bonnie was loved by her many friends and acquaintances and loved playing Marathon Bridge weekly with them.
Bonnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and served as a visiting teacher for over 20 years.
She is survived by her two children Karen (Scott) Rawlins; Hyde Park, Jeff (Dawna) Clawson; Hyrum, Utah, Her beloved sister Eloyse Lyons, LaGrange, Illinois. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Doris Bingham, her husband, Jack, her daughter Leslee Lou Layne and her companion of 20 years Roscoe Weston.
Friends may call at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30am ; a graveside service will follow at noon in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
