Born May 17, 1933 in Logan, Utah. Died June 2, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Bonnie was the second of six children of Harold and Lydia Daines Smith. She grew up in South Pasadena, California and graduated from South Pasadena High School in 1951. Bonnie was married and had four children: Wendy Lynn Wood, of Montrose, CO; Lawrence Jay Weight (Marsha), of Centerville, UT; Cynthia Ann Thompson (Joe), of Oshkosh, WI; Julianne Weight-Blackford (William Russell), of Woodland Hills, California. Bonnie had 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie is survived by her sister, Carolyn Buhman (Dennis) of Orem, Utah; and her brothers, Keith Smith (Nina) of Falls Church, VA; Kent (Sharon) of Centerville, Utah. Bonnie was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Bryant Smith. Bonnie graduated from Utah State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Bonnie was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a loving sister and mother and worked hard to raise her family. Her infectious and bubbly laugh will be missed. Bonnie called her many nephews George on many occasions. She will be remembered for her courage and perseverance through many difficult years.
There will be a viewing on June 7, 2006 from 12 to 2 p.m., at the Allen Hall Mortuary located at 34 East Center Street, in Logan. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at the Logan City Cemetery, 1200 East 1000 North, Logan with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund: 50 East North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84150-1501.
