Bonnie F. Tuttle

April 15, 1932 — April 8, 2011

Bonnie LaVon Flynn Tuttle returned to her Heavenly Father April 8, 2011 in Logan, UT due to complications from a long and valiant fight with Alzheimer’s. She would have been 79 years old this April 15.
Bonnie was born April 15, 1932 to Barney and Ila Barnson Flynn in Grand Junction, CO. She was the oldest of six children. She married Richard Kent Tuttle Nov 22, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bonnie was a faithful member of the LDS church, serving in several callings from Scout Leader to Relief Society President. Her love of our Heavenly Father and her testimony of the gospel was evident. She truly did lead by example of good works. On several occasions when total strangers were in need of a place to stay, she lovingly opened her doors. While living in Grand Junction CO in the 1980's she co-founded a group V.O.I.C.E, dealing with incest victims. This was the first group of its kind in the United States. Within 2 years the group spread thru out the U.S. Bonnie was the keynote speaker at their first conference in Kansas City, MO at which time she was honored as "Woman of the Year". After Bonnie and Richard moved to Hyrum, UT in 1987, she continued her love of learning by attending Institute classes and serving in the temple.
Bonnie was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings Gary Flynn, Jack Flynn, Ron Flynn and her son Kent Eric Tuttle. Bonnie is survived by her husband Richard, sons Kraig Tuttle, Kip (Karen) Tuttle, and Kirk Tuttle. Daughters-In-Law's Kathy Tuttle and Denise Tuttle. Two siblings Gerald Flynn and Illene Vandermeide. Also survived by 12 grandchildren Kenny, Jason (Michelle), Jonas (Keely), Jimmy (Lisa), Justin, Seth, Aubrie, Aaron, Kara, Sami, Erica and Jaimy K, with 10 great-grandchildren trailing behind.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in the Hyrum North Stake Center, 245 North 750 East in Hyrum.
