Boyd was living at the American Fork Training School when his Mother passed away in 1962. Three years later he went to live with the Waymans in Utah Valley and became part of their family. That became his home for 55 years. He assisted them by working in the orchards, taking pride in his ability to load tires and always appreciating the attention the ward members gave him. He was strong as an Ox and persevered to the end. He was a staple at the local ward house, acting as greeter and passing out programs. Boyd enjoyed singing in the ward choir and was an accomplished bowler. It was the highlight of the month when his visiting teacher would take him bowling. It became challenging for him the past couple of months to get around, but he remained in high spirits. He was ready to transition to the next level. Godspeed from family and friends.
A graveside will be at the Logan City Cemetery on Feb. 8th at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
