Brendan “Charlie” Dale Peck passed from loving arms on earth to loving arms in heaven on July 23, 2016, following a valiant nine-month battle with cancer. Brendan was born July 2, 2004 in Logan, Utah, the eighth child of Shaun and Kerry Peck. He passed away at home in Avon, Utah surrounded by his family, just as he wished.
Brendan’s life was a shining example of love, faith and hope. Though his illness was painful, Brendan brought laughter and happiness to all who knew him. His loving smile melted the hearts of those around him. His quick wit constantly tickled his family and caretakers. Brendan’s unwavering faith and confidence in our Heavenly Father’s plan was an awesome inspiration. His sweet spirit made those around him want to linger near. While Brendan’s life was relatively short, his Christ-like example and endless faith in the midst of trial touched and changed many lives for good. Brendan will now continue his glorious work in another sphere.
Brendan leaves behind many wonderful caregivers who tenderly and skillfully improved his quality of life. We are especially grateful to the many doctors, nurses and staff at Primary Children’s Hospital, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and CNS, who gave their inspired best so that Brendan could enjoy his remaining time on earth to the fullest.
Brendan is survived by his parents, Shaun and Kerry (Swan) Peck, his siblings, Christian (Kristen), Loren (Jamie), Sarah, Rachel, Madeline, Lindsay, Landon, and Aaron, his grandparents Roberta Peck, Dale and Lyn Swan, and great-grandmother Dorothy Griffiths. Brendan was predeceased by his grandfather Ralph Peck, and many other relatives who anxiously awaited him on the other side.
