LOGAN - Brent Jensen Leatham, 59, returned home to his Loving Heavenly Father on February 9, 2017 after a long battle with Kidney disease. He was born March 20, 1957, to John Alden Leatham Jr. and Coy Jensen Leatham in Logan Utah and was raised in Wellsville, Utah. He was the youngest of 5 children. He attended schools in Wellsville and he graduated from Sky View High School in 1975 where he enjoyed attending sporting events. In 1980 he married Kaelyn Peeke, they had 3 beautiful children together and she preceded him in death in 2003. He later married Sheri M. Brown that he loved dearly and was lucky enough to have spent a few special years together before she also preceded him in death.
Brent was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved being a home teacher. He was an avid Aggies fan and didn’t like to miss a game. His second home was Angie’s Restaurant. He had a love of life, people and especially his 3 children. He was a big supporter of The Special Olympics and watching his children participate in their events. Some of the most joyful experiences he had were traveling to Anchorage, Alaska to watch his son participate in The World Special Olympics where he brought home Gold, Silver, and a Bronze Medal. He also was overjoyed to see his two beautiful daughters participate in the Utah Miss Amazing Pageants in 2014 and 2015. Brent was employed by Schreiber Foods and enjoyed his job for 33 years before he had to retire for medical reasons.
Brent is survived by his 3 children, Candace, Hyde Park, Utah; Andrew, Provo, Utah; Elizabeth, Logan, Utah. His sister, Sharon (Dale) McBride, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Diane (Danny) Nielsen, Wellsville Utah; Stephen (Meredith) Leatham, Plain City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother Michael John Leatham and both of his wives.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to his friends, neighbors, all of his Doctors, and the staff at the Logan Dialysis Center for their support and kindness throughout the years.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 14th at 12pm at the Logan LDS 1 & 2 ward building at 89 South 200 West Logan, Utah. Viewings will be held Monday evening February 13th from 6-8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center in Logan Utah and Tuesday morning from 10 -11:30am prior to service.
