Byron Roger Haderlie passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at his home of a heart attack. He was the son of Byron Frank Haderlie and Ruth Anderson. He was born March 18,1944 in Logan, Utah.
He lived in West Jordan, and Spanish Fork, Utah until he moved with his family at age 8 to Star Valley, Wyoming where he helped his father milk cows and put up hay and grain. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, 10 years later and he finished high school there.
He served a LDS mission in Switzerland, returned home and attended U.S.U where he met and married Judy Baird. They were later divorced. He graduated from U.S.U. with a degree in English and moved his family to Smithfield. After teaching for a few years, he and his family spent 4 years in Iran working for an International Agricultural Co. Upon returning home, he co-owned and worked for Small World Travel Agency in Logan and 2 years later resumed teaching. In 1994, he married Suni Nield and settled in Smithfield where they still reside. He taught for 26 years at Cedar Ridge, North Cache, White Pine and in Sacramento. He retired last May. He recently began driving bus for LTD.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he fulfilled numerous callings. He will be remembered for his loving, kind and helpful attitude.
He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Haderlie and leaves to mourn in his passing, his wife Suni, 4 children, Cristi (Bryan) Boyack, Thad, (Cami) Haderlie, Tracy (Angela) Haderlie, Shireen (Matt) Van Orden and 4 step children, Cindy (Rodd) Hillyard, Clay (Jill) Larson, Chet (Mackenzie) Larson, and Cal (Mckenzie) Larson. His mother Ruth Haderlie, 3 sisters, Annette (Cordell) Luthi, Susan (Ernie) Collins, Joan (Roger) Romrell, 1 brother Kirk (Marla) Haderlie, 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North, North Logan. Viewing held Sunday March 18, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at the mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday March 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at 625 East 600 South Smithfield LDS church house. Friends and family will be received from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. on Monday at the Church in Smithfield. Interment will be at Freedom, Idaho cemetery.
