Brooks Kip Rawlings, 25, returned to his Heavenly Father Wed Jan. 21, 2009 after several months of health complications. There he was greeted by his grandfather, Harris Allen whom he had dearly loved. Brooks leaves behind a loving family; his father Kip, mother Christine, brothers; Kelly, Kolby & Riley. Also three loving grandparents with whom he spent many special hours while his mom & dad went to ball games, and numerous loving relatives & friends.
Brooks was the light of their life and a joy to all who knew him. His smile and laugh lit up a room. Although his life was full of challenges, he taught all who knew him of compassion, unconditional love, and forgiveness. His family’s desire was that he led a full happy life with friends and that he would ‘leave his mark’ on the community, and that he did.
Brooks was active in the LDS church and loved seeing all his friends there. He loved music, swimming, chocolate pudding, 4-wheeler riding and any other activity that involved his family and cousins. He loved going to his daily programs, looking forward to hanging out with all his ‘friends’. Brooks liked routine, knew when the bus should come and was quite upset if it was late!
His family wants to thank all who so lovingly helped care for him throughout his life. They will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at Ireland Bank.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2009 in the Fairview, Idaho Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the church and prior to services on Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be in the Fairview, Idaho Cemetery.
